Frock Promoted to CEO, Walmsley Joins as CFO

Broomfield, Colo. (June 30, 2020) – Datavail, an IT services company focused on database, analytics and application managed services, announced the promotion of COO Scott Frock to become CEO, and the addition of Kevin Walmsley to the executive team as CFO.

Frock, who joined Datavail in 2015, had been Chief Operating Officer for three years, where he managed Datavail’s 24x7x365 delivery practices, oversaw many of the corporate support functions and integrated four acquisitions into Datavail’s managed service platform. He was responsible for the development of Datavail’s TechBoostTM and ServiceBoostTM intellectual property that automates the management and monitoring of client systems. Prior to joining Datavail, he was a founder and led the Cloud Services Division of Highstreet IT Solutions and held a series of leadership positions at CIBER, including VP of International Managed Services.

Walmsley joins Datavail with more than 25 years of experience in finance in financial planning and forecasting, capital budgeting, M&A, and contract governance. Most recently, he was CFO at Envysion where he led this Colorado-based SaaS company’s finance team. Previously, he was CFO at Miller Heiman Group, a Colorado-based sales training company. Other experience includes finance leadership roles at StarTek and TeleTech.

The promotions were announced by Tyler Newton, Datavail’s Chairman of the Board and Partner at Catalyst Investors, a leading growth equity firm focused on investing in private companies in technology-enabled services sectors and a primary investor in Datavail. “We conducted a nationwide search for both of these roles and, after interviewing many great candidates, chose to elevate Scott based on his in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as his demonstrated experience in leading the company over the last few years as COO,” said Newton. “We also welcome Kevin to the team to provide not only leadership to the finance function, but also rigorous, metrics-based forecasting and modeling. Scott, Kevin and the rest of the strong leadership team will focus Datavail’s energies on key areas of growth, taking advantage of its expertise in cloud deployments to help modernize its clients’ systems.”
