K1 Investment Management today announced a majority investment in Jobvite, the industry leader in best-of-breed recruiting software. K1 and Jobvite also announced three major acquisitions: Talemetry, the award-winning recruitment marketing company, RolePoint, the leader in employee referral and internal mobility, and Canvas, the industry’s only text-based conversational recruiting company. For the first time, this combination enables hiring teams to source, engage, hire, onboard, and retain top talent with one end-to-end platform – delivering a unified candidate experience.
Catalyst portfolio company Weave, a customer experience management (CXM) platform, raised an additional $37.5 million in a Series C funding round. Catalyst participated in the round led by Lead Edge Capital along with other existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Crosslink Capital and Pelion Venture Partners.
Growth equity firm Catalyst Investors announced the promotion of Mia Hegazy to Principal, Samantha Lexton to Vice President, Investor Relations and Patty Xu to Chief Financial Officer.
Galvanize has secured a $32 million Series C financing led by growth equity firm Catalyst Investors with participation from New Markets Venture Partners and existing investors: ABS Capital Partners, University Ventures and the Colorado Impact Fund. Tyler Newton from Catalyst Investors will join the Galvanize board ofdirectors.
Kapil Desai has been promoted to Vice President from Senior Associate. Kapil focuses on healthcare IT, food technology and software companies and most recently worked on Catalyst’s investments in BrightFarms, Clinicient, ChowNow and Conductor.
Catalyst promoted Susan Bihler to Partner. Bihler joined Catalyst in 2009 as an analyst and most recently served as Principal. She currently serves on the boards of Catalyst portfolio companies Clinicient, Datavail and Envoy Global.
Catalyst led a $20 million Series B round of funding for ChowNow, a SaaS ordering platform providing restaurants with online ordering tools and branded mobile apps. Existing investors including Steadfast Venture Capital also participated in the round. Catalyst partner Tyler Newton has joined ChowNow’s Board of Directors.
Envoy Global, the technology leader in global immigration and workforce management, raised $21 million in Series C financing and named Susan Bihler of Catalyst Investors to its Board of Directors. The new capital will expand Envoy’s go-to-market efforts and continued development of its global immigration services and software platform.
Weave provides voice, SMS, email and marketing services to dental and optometry offices. Its unified communications as a service (UCaaS) product combines VoIP phone service with a customer service application that integrates with customer data from existing practice management software to help manage patient reminders, initiate phone calls, engage in two-way texting, solicit customer reviews and other customer relationship management functions. The company serves more than 3,600 dentists and optometrists across the country.
Catalyst expanded its team with the addition of Samantha Lexton as Senior Associate, Investor Relations, and Jackson Evans and Kirk Mahoney as Associates. Catalyst also promoted Mia Hegazy to Vice President and Kapil Desai to Senior Associate.
