Catalyst Investors Promotes Four Senior Team Members, Names Kapil Desai Partner

Samantha Lexton and Grady Kidder promoted to Principal; Kyle Howard-Johnson promoted to Vice President

 
NEW YORK, DECEMBER 16, 2021 – Growth equity firm Catalyst Investors announced the promotion of four senior team members. Kapil Desai was named Partner; Samantha Lexton and Grady Kidder were named Principal; and Kyle Howard-Johnson was named Vice President.
Desai joined Catalyst in 2014 as an associate. He is responsible for leading investments in software and business services companies and serving as an active board director or observer for his portfolio companies, including Clinicient, Conductor, BrightFarms, ChowNow and eSUB.
“In the seven years that Kapil has been with the team, he has continuously demonstrated sound investment judgment, creativity, initiative and has been instrumental in a number of our successful transactions. Lexton came on board as Senior Associate, Investor Relations in 2017 and is responsible for fundraising, investor relations, portfolio analysis, deal team support and special projects.
Kidder joined Catalyst in 2016 as an associate and is responsible for formulating investment strategies, deal origination and execution, and portfolio management. Since joining, Kidder has worked on the firm’s investments in Fusion Risk Management, Weave, ChowNow, Effectual, Pax8, LinkSquares and Datavail.
Howard-Johnson joined Catalyst in 2018 as an Associate and, in addition to deal origination, company due diligence and transaction execution, he focuses on portfolio management for EDB, Effectual and PresenceLearning.
